The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has assured residents of Karachi and other regions under its jurisdiction that there will be an uninterrupted gas supply throughout the three days of Eid ul Adha.
In a statement released on Thursday, SSGC announced that gas supply would be resumed at 5:00 AM on the first day of Eid, Saturday, June 7, and would continue uninterrupted through Sunday, June 8, and Monday, June 9. This commitment ensures that households and businesses will not face any gas shortages during the festive period.
However, the statement also confirmed that gas load-shedding would be reintroduced at 12:00 AM on Tuesday, June 10.
The announcement follows the federal government’s declaration of four-day holidays for Eid ul Adha, beginning on June 6. The Cabinet Division issued a notification stating that public holidays would be observed from June 6-9, aligning with the holiday schedule for both the five and six-day working week offices.
Meanwhile, the Balochistan government has opted for a slightly different holiday schedule, with holidays spanning from June 5 to June 8, as confirmed in a notification issued by the Services & General Administration Department.
SSGC’s commitment to maintaining a smooth gas supply during Eid will provide much-needed relief to residents and businesses during the holiday period. The company has also urged consumers to use gas responsibly to avoid unnecessary wastage.
